Member Events
Discussion is stimulated through conferences, debates, lectures and forums. These include our regular ‘Fireside Chat’ events which give Air & Space Power Association corporate members the opportunity to engage with senior military officers in an informal setting. This event, at which free and frank debate is encouraged, provides a unique opportunity to discuss air power at the very highest level. In addition, the Association’s social calendar provides an excellent opportunity for our members to meet each other, to host important clients and to engage in debate about the air and space power issues of the moment. There are three events held in London each year; a Spring dinner, a Summer dinner and our showcase event, an industry dinner in November. Each of these events is attended by senior military and industry leaders, further providing the opportunity for our members to hear the very latest thinking in the air power domain. Members also benefit from a range of multi-format virtual and in-person lectures and seminars as well as visits.
The Chief of the Air Staff’s Global Air & Space Chiefs’ Conference, held in London every July and delivered by the Association on behalf of the RAF, is the jewel in the crown in stimulating an informed and international debate on the future of air and space power. The Conference provides a strategic global focus on air and space power issues and collective security concerns faced by international partners and global allies. As both a live and virtual event, the central aim of the Global Air & Space Chiefs’ Conference is to stimulate the debate, share ideas and open up on the threats and opportunities in a collegiate fashion on our collective strategic future.
The Association also delivers the Defence Space Conference and this annual event provides a platform for the UK Government, Space Command and stakeholders from across the Space community and Defence environment to discuss emerging thinking and strategy on a wide variety of Space issues and technology.
Finally, member communications includes a newsletter with updates and analysis of the latest air and space power issues as well as Association news.
