The rapid proliferation of UxS has exposed critical gaps in our fleets’ ability to counter this threat. In response, the NNAG has established the C‑UxS Specialist Team to identify the most credible C‑UxS solutions currently available on the market. The Specialist Team has scheduled a symposium to serve as a platform for this assessment and will lay the groundwork for deeper collaboration between NATO/Allied nations and industry.

The symposium will take place 14-15 September 2026 at the Victory Services Club London: https://www.vsc.co.uk. The symposium will take place over two days and can require travelling outside of regular working hours. The delegates are expected to attend the symposium both days and make their travel arrangements accordingly.

Aim:

The symposium will give industry a clear view of the challenges we face, while providing Allies and NATO with direct access to commercial expertise. Companies that already have operational solutions will gain deeper insight into the problem we are trying to solve, and firms developing new technologies will receive valuable feedback to refine their concepts. Attending vendors are expected to offer high‑TRL (7‑9), cost‑effective C‑UxS solutions and represent a broad cross‑section of the Alliance’s industrial base. Approximately 45 companies have expressed interest in participating in the symposium.

Outline of the agenda:

The symposium will open with a keynote speech by Mr Greg Ivey, Director Armaments and Major Capability Programmes Directorate NATO HQ, followed by presentations that chart the way forward by addressing future challenges and potential procurement pathways. The first day will concentrate on “How We Fight at Sea: The Challenges of Combating UxS in the Maritime Environment” and “Innovating to Combat: The UxS Threat,” while the second day will shift to “The Challenges of Procurement: National Perspectives” and include a panel reserved for the NIAG. Between the panels, briefings from attending companies will be scheduled. Throughout both days, focused workshops will tackle specific technical and operational hurdles and highlight successful C‑UxS collaborations, and ample networking opportunities will enable participants to connect and discuss the issues in depth.

There are a limited number of places available, please register your interest in attending below.  We will let you know if your application has been successful by 14th August.
