The Chief of the Air Staff’s Global Air & Space Chiefs’ Conference 2024 brings together global leaders in Air and Space Power with captains of industry and technology, enhanced by experts from international academia.
This Global Air & Space Chiefs’ Conference 2024 will be based around the theme of deterrence, with a focus on the role of interoperability and integration in deterring our adversaries and the threats we face. It will explore how our Air and Space Forces can work together seamlessly to counter the future threats facing us all, and how we can use emerging technologies to ensure our capabilities remain at the cutting edge.
The Conference will comprise the following:
Wednesday 17 July
Contemporary Air and Space Power: This opening session will examine air and space power lessons from current operations around the world.
Session 1: Deterrence Theory and Practice: This first session will examine the meaning of modern deterrence and ways to deter the current and future threats we face.
Session 2: Integrated Multi-Domain and Multi-Generation Deterrence: This session will explore what integrated multi-domain deterrence means and examine the Air, Space, Cyber and Electro-Magnetic Spectrum domains.
Session 3: Integration and Interoperability – Air Perspectives: This session will see Air chiefs provide operational perspectives on integration and interoperability in Air and Space Power.
Thursday 18 July
Keynote Session: Day Two opens with Keynote speeches from a senior UK Government Minister, the Chief of the Air Staff ACM Sir Richard Knighton and an international air force chief.
Session 4: Integration and Interoperability – Technological Perspectives: This session will see technology and capability experts tackle the complexity of Integration and Interoperability with a focus on a future that will be AI-Assisted, Augmented, Autonomous and Robotic.
